Sea Food Diaries - Highway Gomantak

Thanks to its large multi-ethnic population and location on the Arabian Sea,  Mumbai is blessed with an abundance of choice when it comes to seafood.

Located in the Bandra East highway, Highway Gomantak thats where it gets its name from i guess is one of the best sea food joints i have been to so far...!!!
It is a complete value for money, some may find it a little expensive however the amazing taste of the food will make you forget the cost.
Their USP is the fresh fish that makes the food even more tastier.

An authentic Goan style cooking is what you can get here.

Must Try: Prawns fry, Fish Thali, Surmai Fry.

Being a Foodie...!!!

Mumbai the city of Dreams. There's so much in this city. Having lived here for more than 20 years yes it stands true to the saying the City that never sleeps, the City of dreams, the City which gives you that happiness in the smallest of things be it the Mumbai ki Baarish or the Mumbai ka Vada Pav.

The best part about this city is the Spirit of the people, be it the women waking up at four doing the daily house hold chores and then going to work, the local trains people travelling from Virar to Churchgate, the daily rickshaw war, the vibrant colors of school kids, the amazing college crowd not to forget the foir at St Xaviers to our very own favourite Bappa celebrations the odometer of spirit of the people is at its at-most peak.

A walk down the street at Marine Drive in midst of the bustling traffic to the awestruck city lights, the sound of the swooshing waves give you a sense of immense peace to the hearts core which just helps you forget everything and have you lost in time just letting yourself to be with Self.

There's another part to this great city of dreams and that is food. Be it a normal street food to the meals by the Dabbawalas, Be it the homemade Nashta sold by the aunties in the local trains to the authentic food in the local old shops there are amazing food stuffs available for every mood.

I have never been a foodie, however once upon a time i just happened to bump into a few of my colleagues in my new job who just got me dwelling in the food world of theirs and then there was no turning back....Oh yes even listening to their dialogues like Kya Mary tune yeh nahin kahaaya to kya kiyaa, kya tune yeh bhi nahin khaya arre yaar how can you miss this... and the other typical oh no kind of dialogues that still keep ringing into my ears.

My very important part of my life are these guys now who are my best food buddies one being Benzy George who has taken me to some amazing food joints that just sums up my appetite and yes keeps me craving for more....

This has inculcated the Wanderlust-Craving in me to wander more in search of some delicious, heavenly food.

Bon-Appetit...
