GOA...
There's
something truly magical about Goa. The walk on the beaches to the sun sets, the
soaking up in the sun to curling up at the shacks with chilled beer. It has it
all. That's why the tagline 365 days on a holiday.
My
food trails at Goa have been interesting. From the normal shacks to the restaurants. The below mentioned ones are my favourites.
Must
Go - Ritz Classic, Panaji
Ritz Classic is a multi-cuisine restaurant based in Goa renowned for its seafood & Goan Thali since 1978.
A normal fish thali ranges
costs you Rs 300 and it’s just amazing.
Must haves
are their king fish thali, prawn curry and prawns rawa fry.
Must Go – Nidhi Bar & Restaurant, Ashvem
In the
interiors of Ashvem is a small tiny miny bar and restaurant, I got the
reference from one of the locals and since then till date no fish food has
matched the meal I have had at this place.
This tops the
list from the pricing to the quality to the taste. It has it all.
Must haves:
King fish
thali – Rs 300-400
Prawns rawa
fry –Rs 250
Prawns Thali –
Rs 300 – 400
Must Try – Kenny's, the
breakfast place, Calangute
If u know how important it is
to start your day with best breakfast, then you are at the right place. I
came across this via a search, seeing the reviews I decided to give it a visit,
and it was worth it!!!
A quaint and cosy joint, an
all-day breakfast place, Kenny’s is run by a Goan couple. Patrons swear by
their stellar “English Breakfast” that includes all the classic components —
sausages, eggs, baked beans etc. Place is very small, so dont go assuming by
the size. The reason being quality control by the chef himself, it seems hes
quite a perfectionist. (the presentations of food were picture perfect)
Must Have: Omelettes are
exceptional. And always served with a smile. Highly recommended
Price for 2 – Rs 800
